We carry a full line of prescription diets to meet your pets needs. Pain Management: We are able to provide comprehensive pain management in a variety of circumstances. All of our surgical patients receive analgesia (pain relief) before beginning, during, and after the surgical procedure. We utilize the most recent additions to our pharmaceutical army, including non-steroidal anti-inflamatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Rimadyl and Deramaxx, narcotics such as morphine and fentanyl patches and buprenorphine, and local anesthetics such as lidocaine. We also make sure that medical conditions that cause pain are treated aggressively. Parvo virus infection can cause severe cramping resulting in extreme pain, these patients are treated uncompromisingly for their comfort and it has been shown to increase recovery time. We also realize that as we see older patients the majority of them suffer from arthritis. To keep their quality of life high we use multi-modal pain management (utilizing multiple classes of medications and nutraceuticals) to keep them as comfortable as possible, for as long as possible. We are able to treat pain even in the face of renal and hepatic disease, no one deserves to be in pain. |
