Dr. Lisa Fritsch, Associate Veterinarian:

She grew up in Union, Missouri and received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO.  She then went on to attend veterinary school at the University of Glasgow in Scotland, graduating in 2004 with an interest in small animal medicine.  She has been an associate at Lake Street Animal Hospital since August 2004.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, Todd, and her two cats, Cheeto and Nikki (aka Nea-Nea).  In January 2009, she and her husband Todd welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Patrick.  Other interests include camping, hiking, and biking. 
 



Dr. Carol Homann, Managing Veterinarian:
She has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 20 years in Michigan and Illinois.  She received a BS in Animal Science from Southern Illinois University graduating Magna Cum Laude.  She obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from University of Illinois in 1985 graduating with High Honors.  Her special interests are internal medicine, dermatology and animal behavior.  In her free time she enjoys bicycling, cooking, and spending time with her husband and four children.


Dr. Leslie Dahl, Associate Veterinarian:
She is an Illinois transplant who has made her home in Oak Park, IL.  She attended undergraduate school at the University of Massachusets at Amherst and Washington State University studying veterinary science.  She joined Army ROTC after starting veterinary school at Washington State University.  She was commissioned as a Military Police officer in 1988, received her DVM in 1989 and was then recommissioned as a Veterinary Corps Officer.  She has spent the majority of her career working with companion animals and military working dogs as an active duty and reserve forces officer.  She deployed to Kuwait, Qatar and Djibouti during Operation Freedom in 2003.  Dr. Dahl's interests include small animal medicine and surgery, oncology and pocket pets.  She lives a slightly crazed life with her husband and 3 daughters, 2 German shepherds of questionable reliability, 3 cats, 2 budgies, a number of odd looking gold fish and a guinea pig named Elvis.
